Chris is a seasoned professional in the Transport and Logistics sector, possessing extensive experience in successfully leading high-profile projects, with values reaching up to 10 million, across various industries, including oil and gas, construction, and both general and refrigerated freight. He is recognised as a subject matter expert in critical areas such as Heavy Vehicles, Heavy Vehicle National Law, Chain of Responsibility, Fatigue Management, Load Restraint, and Warehousing. Furthermore, his key areas of expertise encompass training and assessment, supply chain optimisation, and scheduling.

 

As a hands-on manager, Chris leads by example and is adept at engaging and developing teams of up to 200 direct reports while also providing support to facilitate individual growth. He demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills, which contribute to his ability to foster positive business relationships at all levels. Employing a collaborative and adaptive approach within the workplace, Chris ensures a comprehensive understanding of needs and effectively directs efforts toward the safe and cost-effective realization of business objectives.

Key Achievements

Origin Energy

Developed and executed an Origin wide Heavy Vehicle compliance education programme consisted of face to face training of the entire QLD work force (1600+ people) developed an online training course for Chain of Responsibility which was used Australia wide. Represented Origin at industry groups such as Safer Together.

Arrow Energy

Engaging with stakeholders to understand the level of knowledge and understanding of Heavy Vehicle compliance developed and delivered education, training, procedures and checklists to 400+ staff in Arrow’s Moranbah operating area (over 400 persons). Also delivered training and advice to Arrow’s contractors including transport companies and drilling companies. Achieved increased capability and improved operational standards.

QGC

Successfully managed all inventory coming into Australia for the QCLNG project and arranged safe and cost-effective delivery to sites throughout QLD, including transformers weighing over 100ton, compressor tanks weighing over 80ton as well as being over length and over width, to general freight and hot shots.
